Chop and freeze ahead

Always chop and freeze extra carrots, onions, garlic, ginger, and celery, etc. when cooking so you can save that step next time. Also freeze extra lemon and orange zest and lemon juice.

Tilex care

Wear old clothes when using tilex to clean bathroom fixtures so that you don’t get bleach marks on your good stuff.

candle safety

Use a dab of earthquake jel under your lit candles to keep them from tipping.

Easy airline access

Remove your jewelry and shoes and have your ticket in your hand when waiting for airport clearance to avoid further delay. Don’t wear any jewelry that’s hard to get off and on.

Never pack a carry-on suitcase heavier than you can lift over your head unless you plan to stand next to a tall, husky man on the airplane.

Purse a mess?

Stash make-up in extra small bag in purse so it’s easy to find. Use a zip-lock if you don’t care how it looks. This is a great idea for a large shoulder bag when traveling.

Don’t start that book…again

Lightly pencil date and rating on inside corner of books so you don’t start reading them again.

Keep track of important stuff

Put your cell phone, keys and glasses in the same place when you return home or you’ll spend hours searching.

Aprons are in

Wear an apron with pockets when cleaning. Pick up stuff from one room and deposit it in another without extra trips.
